A new patent application filed by Apple hints at the concept of a MacBook computer that could also double up as an iOS-based tablet-style convertible devices.

The application was filed with the United States Patent Office earlier this year and describes a system of transitioning between a high resolution mouse-input mode and a low resolution touch interface by a simple change in orientation of the display screen.

According to a growing thread in the Apple Support Discussions forums, the Apple bumper case, made specifically for the iPhone 4 (and a major part of the “Antennagate” solution), is scratching the steel antenna band.

Apple has always maintained that Apple TV is nothing more than a hobby.

But according to Kevin Rose, founder of Digg, Apple has been quietly working to turn its hobby into something that “will change everything”.

Kevin Rose expects Apple to launch Apple TV or iTV in September, which will run iOS, same as the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, and will be priced around $99.
